TESCO SHOOT IN LYME REGIS 11.06.08 | ||||||||||

On Wednesday 11 June children of all ages poured into the Marine Theatre for the opportunity to be chosen as a model for Tesco.
Their Cherokee range of children’s clothing will be re-launched this summer and they are planning to shoot the advertisement on the Cobb in Lyme Regis next Wednesday 18th June. Richard Austin, the renowned local photographer who was taking the shots for the casting, made the taking of the vital photos very easy for the children who seemed to enjoy the whole experience. Karen Brand the producer explained that they had been pleased with the children, “They all have a glow about them, a bit different from some of the London children.” “It’s the fresh sea air” added Richard, “And using children who haven’t been photographed much before gets better results,” explained Karen, “they haven’t got fed up with it as some children from London agencies have.”
The children they wanted were aged from 6 months (had to be able to sit up by themselves) to 13 years old so children from St Michael’s, Mrs Ethlestones as well as Woodroffe school came down to the casting.
Nikita Giordimaina aged 8 from St Michael’s School was thrilled to have a go at modeling.” I don’t know if they have chosen me” she explained” but I already have some of the Cherokee clothes at home so I’d like to see some of the new ones!”
Her mother Janice Giordimaina said she felt just coming to the casting was a good experience for Nikita, “If she does get chosen I will probably let her have a go at another casting, it’s all part of growing up, working with different people, and seeing a different world.” |
