The Marine Theatre is making Easter a very special musical treat for visitors and locals alike. Whether it’s “Going Underground” that you find delicious, or the opportunity to hear “Man in the Moon,” one of Reg Meuross’s most memorable numbers, this will be a weekend to savour, as full of treats as the best Easter Egg.

The Jamm and Reg Meuross “The Jam” may have “Beat Surrendered” in 1982, but on Friday 21 March when the

doors open at  7.45 with the band on stage 8.30pm you can still relive the excitement, feel the energy and power of a real live show with The Jamm, without doubt the most authentic and true tribute in the World. Tickets are from Lyme TIC 01297 442138 at £12.00 each.

The JAMM have continuously been delighting fans of PAUL WELLER’S original group in SELL OUT performances. Proving time and again what power the original music had and that the quality of “The Jamm” show remains unsurpassed.

The Jam sadly played their last gig in 1982 leaving many thousands of fans dreaming of the day when the band would reform. This was not to be. The Jamm portrayed by John Southorn, as seen on “Stars In Their Eyes”-Paul, Richard Reid -Rick and Ray Begg -Bruce, pay tribute to that period from the charting of IN THE CITY to the day Paul stood on Brighton pier and announced, “I’ve had enough”.

The TRIBUTE SHOW, backed by the experience of over 2000 live performances, will take you back in time when “Fire” & “Skill” ruled the charts and a youth culture identified with the lyrics and energy of a band that was a reflection of their own lives. This show with over 30 songs packed into a HIGH ENERGY, authentic performance continues to draw in crowds old and new, young and old.

Reg Meuross, who is one of Britain's finest singer / songwriters, is always a sell out in West Dorset. On Saturday 22 March at 8.00 pm with tickets at £12 with concs at £11 the marine Theatre will be proud to welcome a local man who has made such a success in the music world nationally. Reg's writing, performing and acting credits include working with people as diverse as Lenny Henry, Gerard Depardieu, Robbie Coltrane and Paul Merton.  In June 2007 Reg completed his solo tour of America. And Americana wrote of him "Pure class.  Reg Meuross is that rare breed, a true English troubadour..."  He has also been reviewed in the Sunday Times; "A marvellous set of songs... Meuross's writing has such a confidence about it that some of his compositions could already be classics..."

The evening features Jackie Oates, a brilliant young fiddler and singer who was a finalist in the Radio 2 Young Folk Awards.  Her captivating and lyrical voice offers a rich contrast to Reg Meuross's energetic and enormously engaging vocal tones.
