Four comedians are on the bill in this bargain night out! Our headliner has appeared on Russell Howard's Good News and regularly supports Frank Skinner. Tom Glover is the resident compere with Richard James and Mark Felgate also on the bill.

Gareth Richards’ hilarious stand-up and “gorgeously low-key comedy songs” (The Guardian) have made him an instant favourite on the comedy circuit. He was a finalist in the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year 2007 competition, and was runner-up in the Amused Moose Laugh-Off 2007.
In 2010 he took his first solo stand up show, “Stand Up Between Songs” to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and was nominated for Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer. He has taken a show to Edinburgh nearly every year since, and in 2018 is performing his eighth solo show, “Prophet” at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
On Television Gareth has appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC3), Live at the Electric (BBC3) and the children’s TV panel show The Dog Ate My Homework (CBBC). He has performed Live on BBC Radio 1, and has recorded stand up sets for BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 2. Gareth co-hosted Frank Skinner’s Sony award-winning Absolute Radio show for two years and still regularly fills in. He supported Frank on his 2014 tour.

Mark Felgate

Mark Felgate’s startling abilities as a ventriloquist, combined with guitar playing and a wickedly daft sense of humour, have helped him become a sought after act on the stand-up comedy circuit.
Performing without a dummy, Mark throws his voice to create side-splitting routines on school life, freaking out drunks and pallbearers and the vagaries of censorship. His performances include a slew of silly voices, noises, vocal acrobatics, twisted songs and guitar histrionics.
Mark starred in and wrote, “Lipsmackin” a pilot for BBC three, was the winning comedian on “Gagging For It” (Channel 5) and taught Ant and Dec on the screen how to do ventriloquism for their “Saturday Night Take-Away” (ITV).
He also appeared in a broadcast pilot for Aardman (the creators of Wallace and Gromit) on CBBC called “Men in Coats”, a show that combined fast-paced visual comedy and illusion with Mark starring as Moe; one of the Men in Coats.

Richard James

Devon favourite Richard James makes a return to the Marine after first appearing at the September 2018 show. Rich is a joyful act who celebrates the weird and wonderful aspects of life in the westcountry. He’s also a self confessed nerd with a love of pub quizzes, star wars and Ray Mears. Richard recently hit the headlines after walking the south west coast path and raising money along the way for the RNLI with pop up comedy nights and was tour support for our resident MC, Tom Glover, at some of his shows.

Resident Tom Glover

Originally from Bridport, Tom Glover has been hosting and performing at comedy nights in the south west since 2011. As well as being the resident compere at the Lyme Regis Comedy Club, Tom is also a regular host at the Weymouth Pavilion, Blandford Corn Exchange, Teignmouth Pavilions, and the Jurassic Fields Festival. His solo show A Glover Not A Fighter had a month long run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
