A message regarding tonight’s Lyme Regis Comedy Club:
Very sadly our headliner Jake Lambert has had a bereavement so will no longer be performing tonight.
At last minute, we’re pleased to welcome Suzy Bennett to close the show, so the event will still go ahead as planned. We look forward to welcoming you to a great night.
We send our thoughts to Jake.
Jake Lambert fell into a career as a stand up, after gaining a following on Twitter under the pseudonym @LittleLostLad he decided to put down his iPhone and pick up a microphone. It has proven to be a great choice with him making it to the final of the Amused Moose Final 2016, semi-finals of the BBC New Comedy Award 2015, Magners New Comedian of the Year 2015, English Comedian of the Year 2015 and the Leicester Mercury New Act of the Year 2015.
Jake has gone on to support Seann Walsh, Kerry Godliman, Tom Allen and Rob Beckett on their UK tours as well as writing on Mock The Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Now Show, News Quiz, Virtually Famous, Bake Off: The Professionals, and Bake Off: An Extra Slice.
With Chamian Hughes and TBC
Nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy Award 2016, comedian Charmian Hughes studied clowning under Philippe Gaulier and Theatre de Complicite but unable to uphold the mime vow of silence, ran away to play stand-up comedy clubs throughout the nation entertaining everyone from members of the Houses of Parliament to ‘Lifers’ in prison (not to be confused).
