Jonah Hitchens is well-known locally for exhilarating fusions of soul, funk, psychedelia and jazz! Out front he’s all soulful vocals, swirling guitar riffs and bucketloads of charisma. If you want to know what you’re letting yourself in for then imagine Curtis Mayfield jamming with Jimi Hendrick – and that’d be Jonah! His latest recording, ‘Sunset Circus’, is full of retro sounds and influences. From the freewheeling 60’s to the cool vibes of the early 70’s. He cites Bill Withers, Curtis Mayfield, Parliament, Gil Scott Heron, Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix as influences. So, get ready for some musical time travel – at 100mph!

Clara Bond is another local talent based in Exeter. She’s best thought of as a pop artist with an edge. Her repertoire includes pop, RnB and country. She’s a lyricist, performer and recording artist. Whilst definitely seeing herself as a pop artist her previous offerings have had a strong country flavour. She once received a nomination as ‘Female Vocalist of the Year’ in the British Country Music Awards.

Her latest single ‘Bored Wanna Talk’ was featured as Upload of The Week on BBC Introducing, and included in Apple Music Editorial Playlists ‘New in Pop’ and ‘Pop Deluxe’.
