Coltrane was a master of bebop and recorded with many of its legendary exponents, notably Dizzy Gillespie, Duke Ellington and Thelonious Monk. He also played on Miles Davis’ seminal jazz masterpiece Kind of Blue. Much admired for his phenomenal technique as a saxophonist, Coltrane made many ground breaking recordings with his own quartet, featuring pianist McCoy Tyner and drummer Elvin Jones.

Saxophonist Pete Canter has recorded several albums which have been very well received, and played at major UK festivals including the Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Teignmouth Jazz Festival, Bude Jazz Festival and Exeter Vibraphonic.
