A 1930s tinged special of our jazz night, starring the vocalist from Just Misbehavin'

Singer Lynn Thornton has sung with many blues, gospel and soul groups. Her own band, Just Misbehavin’ features pianist Paul Barnham, who will be accompanying her. She uses her incredible vocal range and technique to create exciting interpretations of songs and to make them swing; she is also a swing dance teacher and her love of the fantastic music that goes with it steps over into her very rhythmic singing style.

Expect to hear bluesy classics from the 1930s like ‘Nobody Knows You When You’re Down And Out’ and some unique jazzy takes on pop songs like ‘Tainted Love’ and ‘Should I Stay Or Should I Go’.

“Singer Lynn Thornton is gifted with a voice that can beguile, shock and delight, so great is her range and so exciting the way she can make any song her very own.” ~ Devonshire Magazine
